Course/Objectives 
Occupational Prep 2: Students will begin working on acquiring their 240 community based volunteer hours at various partnerships with GHS. Students will utilize the Prep 2 book for the course to learn about various areas of independent living.
 
Occupational Prep 3: Students will continue to work on completing community based volunteer hours and start the process of seeking employment for completing competitive paid hours required for graduation. Students will utilize the Prep 3 book for the course to learn about various areas of finding a job, developing resumes, and completing applications. 
 
EC Resource: Students will learn to utilize the fifty-four minute block to reinforce skills taught and learned in the regular classroom setting. They will complete daily work and homework assignments, receive additional assistance with tasks from all subjects, complete projects and extra practice work.
 
OCS NCVPS Biology: Students will learn and understand the relationship between structures and functions of cells, analyze the interdependence of living organisms within their environment and be able to explain how traits are determined by the structure and function of DNA.
 
Materials Required for ALL classes
 
Loose leaf notebook paper, Pencils and/or Pens, 1 inch binder(only to be used for my class), Spiral Notebook, Index Cards
 
Classroom Rules and Expectations
 
- Follow directions and be attentive
- Come prepared, ready to work and participate in class
- Clean up after yourself
- Leave all bad attitudes outside
- Observes and abide by all Rules and Regulations set by WCPS
- Bring all required materials to class
- No profanity, loud talking, fighting or horseplaying
- Raise hand to be recognized and for permission to leave seat
- No chewing gum, cell phones, or other personal electronic devices used in classroom
- No hats worn or combing hair in class
- Respects others and their personal space

Conferences and IEP meetings
Times will be between 2:00 p.m and 3:30 p.m. There may be exceptions due to each individual case.
